Sounds of Sea
See playful art on the water's edge.
Sounds of Sea are interactive art works based on the ventilation funnels and speaking tubes used on ships.
The artworks were designed for North Wharf and were installed in 2011. They can be found in three clusters along the wharf. The sculptures are a reminder of the history of the waterfront and its on-going role as an active working wharf, transforming the wharf into an old ship deck.
Climb inside, play and speak into them.
