Become a volunteer
We are always on the lookout for friendly, energetic volunteers that are passionate about their waterfront to support the Karanga Plaza Kiosk and the new kiosk on Queens Wharf. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and are available a minimum of 4 hours once a fortnight please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more details.
Karanga Kiosk has a very special living roof made up of a range of native tussocks and grasses.
The roof is designed to reduce the amount of rain water that flows off the roof and into the stormwater system by up to 75%. The roof provides insulation, therefore saving energy and will help to promote biodiversity into Wynyard Quarter by attracting bird and insect life.
The living roof was made possible through a grant from Auckland Council and was installed by Stormwater360.
