Auckland Festival of Photography gears up for its premium international photographic fesitval

Auckland Festival of Photography is NZ's premium international photographic festival, that brings together photographers, curators, students, amateurs and professionals for the aim of encouraging the public to celebrate the art of photography.

'Control' is the theme of this year's festival and will feature 12 'Control-themed' exhibitions, 18 ‘Core’ exhibitions and 17 ‘Talking Culture’ events across the city centre - including presentations by award-winning US photojournalist Maggie Steber, Argentinian artist Alejandro Chaskielberg and leading German political photographer Herlinde Koelbl.

Silo Park (Silo 6 and 7) will be Auckland Festival of Photography's main control-themed exhibition hub, Queen Wharf will be the hub for Nikon's Auckland Photo Day 2004 - 17 - and the best part is both events are FREE.

Plus, as you wonder through Te Wero Island from Silo 6 to Queens Wharf you will experience four lightbox installations.
