Auckland Dockline Tram
The Auckland Dockline Tram is back operating on Sundays and public holidays from 10am - 4pm for a gold coin donation
After a period of being closed down due to roadworks taking place in Wynyard Quarter, the Auckland Dockline Tram is back.
The tram will operate a reduced two-way service between the Tram Shed in Daldy Street and the tram stop at the northern end of Halsey Street, travelling down to the Fish Market and along Jellicoe Street. The return journey follows the same path back to the Tram Shed.
The tram service began in 2011 as part of the first stage of the Wynyard Quarter revitalisation and was the first of its kind to run in central Auckland since the last tram left the tracks in the city in 1956.
Jump aboard the beautifully restored 1920s heritage trams and take a step back in time. Experience a live commentary to learn about the rich history of the area, and see the exciting plans for the future.
Trams will operate every Sunday and Public Holiday from 10am-4pm for a gold coin donation.
The full 1.5km loop will be back in action once road redevelopment works in the southern end of Wynyard Quarter are completed.
