Stationed at the entrance to the Auckland Fish Market, the latest addition to Wynyard Quarter’s community, Minnie’s, is now open.

This new pop-up café is a compact version of the popular café across the road, Rushworth, and is serving delicious hot drinks and homemade cabinet food to passers-by.

Salama Lowe, cafe manager of Minnie’s, has worked at Rushworth for 10 years and together with James MacGregor, owner of Rushworth, she saw the need to expand the business to keep up with Wynyard Quarter’s growing community.

All food that comes out of Rushworth’s kitchen is home made with love and care by James’ mother, Mrs MacGregor. Whether it’s a hot soup, the ever-popular bacon and egg bene roll, or a piece of toasted ginger loaf to go with a coffee, there’s something to appeal to everyone.

Minnie’s is open from 5.30am-2pm on Monday-Friday and 8am-12pm on Saturday. They have a few weekday specials on offer between 5.30am and 7am as well as loyalty cards and a ‘buy 8, receive 10’ coffee deal.

Weekday specials:

Any coffee $3.50

Dads Pie and coffee $7

Any coffee and bacon and egg bene roll $10

If you are wandering the Quarter or looking for a new coffee stop on your morning commute then go and check it out.
